Although we live in a more liberal society and social attitudes towards people with disabilities are slowly changing, basic understandings and prejudices are still public and lead to certain discriminatory patterns. The specificity of the issue under consideration is brought out by means of an analytical theoretical formulation of established theories and concepts, on the basis of which the substantive characteristics of social attitudes towards persons with disabilities are highlighted. The theoretical analysis allows the characterization of stereotypes and social attitudes as determinants of human behavior, which conditions their rethinking as reactions and stimuli in relationships between people.othersocial attitudesstereotypesprejudicesspecial educational needssocial acceptanceSOCIAL PREDISPOSITIONS TOWARDS PERSONS WITH SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL NEEDSArticle
