Chakarova, Yuliana2024-11-192024-11-1920230861-0029https://doi.uni-plovdiv.bg/handle/store/368The study provides suggestions for consistent and not contradictory presenting in fundamental works within the discipline of one of the key concepts in linguoculturology – symbol, as well as some ideas that could be the basis of building solid methodology for exploring this complex phenomenon. My analysis of a large amount of relevant sources has shown that often they refer to authors, schools and opinions that disagree with each other or with the main stream of understanding of the symbol within the discipline while giving no explanation of the differences or the reasons for that.
