The fictional world in the novel reflects the modern conception of the infinite mechanical Universe, governed solely by physical laws. Technological civilization introduces a mechanistic principle, hostile to humanity, and the means of manipulating human consciousness become ever more powerful and global. The idea of collectivism was born, which suppresses and destroys the individual, turning them into a “cogˮ in the vast mechanism of the State. The novel “Weˮ is a response to the total pressure of the ideological “monophonyˮ proclaimed by the Russian Revolution of 1917, and resonates with present dystopian literature, which warns: the danger of totalitarian regimes has not disappeared.otherOne State“WeˮModern eracollectivismtotalitarian societyMODELING OF THE MAN FROM THE ONE STATE IN THE NOVEL “WE” BY Y.
