dc.description.abstractTreatment of cancer has recently become a main topic for researchers. The rate of this disease is extremely high. Recently, about 14.1 million new cases of cancer occurred globally. It caused about 8.2 million deaths of all human deaths. Chrysin has been the subject of many studies due to its anticancer activity and has an overexpressing effect on eIF4E. The expression of eIF4E is regularly observed in different types of cancer, making eIF4E an attractive target for anticancer drugs. Our results indicated important molecular mechanisms involved in the chrysin anticancer activity. We hope this review help to develop ways of improving the effectiveness of chrysin in the treatment of gastric and other human cancers.
