dc.description.abstractLinguocultural studies is one of the leading and rapidly developing fields in modern linguistics, whose main goal is the study of the relationship between language and culture. The study of the atroponymic system of a language occupies a significant place in this field. In the present text the anthroponymicon of Bulgarian Turks is studied, describing the personal names of the representatives of several generations of a family from Dobrich, dating from the first decades of the 20th century until today. The aim of this article is to highlight the main factors influencing the naming system of the target group, to trace the influence of social factors as well as psychological foundations in the naming process.
