The object of our research is the FSF of commentability in the Bulgarian language, as well as the functional-semantic equivalents of the category in the Italian language. Special attention is paid to grammatic over-telling. Our motivation to dwell on this topic is the fact that “the so-called restatement of the verb action is one of the most characteristic features of the Bulgarian language in relation to other Slavic languages and in relation to almost all Indo-European languages” (Gerdzhikov/Gerdzhikov 1984: 3).
