Abstract
Both legal doctrine and judicial practice use the term ‘mutual causation’ when referring to the behaviour of the injured which aided the occurrence of damages in cases of torts. The lawmaker, however, uses the term ‘contribution’. The current article seeks the answer to the question whether the difference between the two terms is merely terminological or also substantial, using the commonly accepted interpretational methods.
