The present study undertakes a comparative analysis of the Greek and the Bulgarian temporal systems using structural models. The goal is to prove that the temporal systems in compared languages have more similarities than differences. The research offers a concise survey of how traditional Greek grammars categorize verb tenses. It outlines contemporary Bulgarian linguistic theories concerning temporal forms and aspect. A modern interpretation of the Greek temporal system is presented through structural models.
