Item MORPHOLOGICAL AND COMBINATORIAL FEATURES OF VERBAL NEOLOGISMS (BASED ON CORPUS DATA)(Plovdiv University Press "Paisii Hilendarski", 2023) Kozera-Sławomirska, Izabela; Petkova, SilviaObserving the dynamics of language development – the emergence or gradual extinction of certain words, constructions or grammatical forms – is one of the most interesting tasks of modern linguistics. The object of this study are verbal neologisms registered in two dictionaries, presenting the latest vocabulary that has entered the Russian language in recent years. In view of the fact, that the verb is considered to be the most complex part of speech, special attention is paid to the morphological and combinatorial features of the new verbal formations, in particular the aspectual characteristics, word-formation potential, semantic-pragmatic properties, which are studied based on data from the Russian National Corpus.Item TRANSLATION OF EXPRESSIVE SPEECH FORMULAE IN THE LIGHT OF PRAGMATICS OF DIALOGUE(Plovdiv University Press "Paisii Hilendarski", 2023) Petkova, SilviaThe paper examines the issues of translating Russian expressive speech formulae into Bulgarian. The study of the contexts of the use of the formula Nado zhe! allows to distinguish between six meanings, presented as speech acts of expressing specific emotions in response to the previous turn or the situation itself. As a result of the analysis of Russian literary text and their translations into Bulgarian a wide variability of interlingual correspondences is established, considering the context of communication and the speaker’s intention. To choose the most suitable equivalent, the translator should be focused both on conveying the pragmatic function of the utterance and complying with the colloquial usage.
